The hilt starts off with a sloped emitter shroud that goes all the way around the saber, leaving the emitter itself to peek through the inside. Leading down the hilt, past the blade set bolt, the sabers body undulates into a deep groove filled with a textured black epoxy, which also fills the two V-grooves in the preceeding section. A thick band of heavy diamond knurling marks the begining of the sabers grip, which consists of long expanses of the textured black epoxy, with the occational thin band of polished aluminum set between them. The rear end of the hilt tapers slightly as it nears the pommel, eventually completing the hilt in an intricate solid plug at the hilts base.
