Saber Style: Converted to EL
In a feat not yet done with a Randomsaber, we were able to convert this beautiful, once-stunt saber into one that holds an EL blade. By remachining a few select parts to this hilt, we can now fit a Parks Sabers EL kit inside it. While we had the hilt in pieces, we swapped out the aluminum grips for carbon fiber grips, and swapped out the aluminum covertech wheel for a polished machined brass one. The home made clamp was replaced with a Parks-Graflex replica, and we also added a polished brass transistor to pair next to the EL activation button. The entire hilt got a good cleaning and polishing and has instantly become the new favorite around not only our shop - but also to anyone who sees the hilt.

A handmade aluminum clamp features a false lever but a real 8-bubble display strip. The rear grip is a set of aluimum strips coated with black enamel, and rounded to fit the saber's body- bolted in place. Capping off the hilt is a solid aluimunm endcap with a fine pitch knurl.
